What broker/account does Midas need?+
A hedging-type MT5 account (ProCent-style). Netting accounts are not supported because the lock relies on holding opposite positions simultaneously. See

No. Midas is trading software. Nothing on this page is an individual investment recommendation, and we do not guarantee profit, a specific drawdown, or survival of any deposit size. See

What does the lock protect against?+
The lock freezes further floating loss on one side of the basket by opening an opposite order. It is insurance against a move getting worse, not a way to make the basket profitable on its own.
Can I switch the bot to Russian?+
Yes — the language switch in the top navigation covers this help center and the panel demo on the landing page. All labels and alert text follow it; switching does not change any trading parameter.
How much deposit do I need per 0.01 lot?+

Do I need a VPS?+
In practice, yes: the EA needs to stay online, including overnight and through weekend gaps. Neither the panel nor the logic technically require a VPS, but a stable connection is on you. See

What happens during high-impact news?+
The EA does not read a news calendar separately — it reacts to price movement the same way it does at any other time. A sharp news move can accelerate the next order or the lock arming.
Can I intervene manually while it runs?+
Manually closing or adding orders on the same symbol can desync the EA's internal accounting of the basket. Managing the series through the panel itself is recommended instead of manual orders.
How are updates delivered?+

Do I need forex knowledge to run Midas?+
No trading experience is required to install and run it, but you do need to understand what a grid/martingale strategy risks before you fund an account — that's the whole point of this help center, especially

How often do I need to check the account?+
Once a day is a reasonable baseline if push alerts are set up (see
Monitoring & alerts) — the point of the alerts is that you don't need to watch the chart continuously.
Can I run Midas on more than one account?+
Yes — each account needs its own MT5 terminal instance, which can run on the same VPS side by side with others. See

Does Midas trade anything besides gold?+
Midas is built and tested for XAUUSD (gold) only. Other symbols are not supported in the current build. [TBD: whether/when other assets are planned.]
Can the account lose everything in a single day?+
On a large enough adverse move, yes — this is a structural property of martingale-style grid trading, not a bug, and it's true of any such system regardless of vendor. Deposit sizing per 0.01 lot is what determines how large a move it takes. See

Do results on a demo account match a live account?+
The trading logic behaves the same way on both. The difference is execution quality — spread and slippage on a live account are frequently worse than a demo's, especially during fast moves, which is exactly when it matters most.
Why does the chart have leftover rectangles after removing the EA?+
The panel draws its own chart objects, and removing the EA doesn't always clean them up. Run the MidasClean script on that chart. See
